Chinese New Year Open House: Lunar Fiesta
Welcome the Lunar year with a lion dance performance, listen to Chinese myths and fables, and watch artists from the Life Art Society write festive couplets in Chinese Calligraphy for you. Head to our games station and learn more about Chinese greetings and auspicious food items. Kids, bring home a silhouette portrait of yourself and try your hand at traditional Chinese paper cutting.
1:00pm - 5:00pm Chinese Papercut - Create your own traditional Chinese paper cut drawing from stencils and take home a pretty souvenir.
1:00pm - 5:00pm Chinese Calligraphy Demonstration - Watch artists from the Life Art Society write Chinese calligraphy and you can bring back these New Year couplets for a small donation.

3:30pm - 4:00pm		 Taste bud Twist - Do you know what auspicious food items are used for the Chinese New Year reunion dinner? Sample them blindfolded and see how many you can identify.
