Fri, 27 May - Sat, 28 May 2011 | Singapore Art Museum
Meeting at SEA is a series of lively group discussions and presentations on contemporary art in Southeast Asia. Artists, art lovers, curators and critics are invited to themed sessions to exchange ideas through candid conversations and first-hand encounters, thereby contributing to and helping to shape contemporary art discourse and developments. These exchanges will be facilitated through a combined mode of interactive activities, ranging from workshops and lectures, to performances and discussions.
This time, our conversation will revolve around Negotiating Home, History and Nation (NHHN), an exhibition which focuses on the region's recent art history. At the same time, we will also invite eight artists from the region to present their practice through workshops and 'live' performance art pieces.
$15 for 2 days including participation to workshops (by registration only) and admission to the exhibition. Each workshop is on a first come first served basis (max 20 per workshop), registration via email to nhb_sam_programs@nhb.gov.sg. 50% off admission tickets for students, full-time NS men & senior citizens. |
