The artworks selected stand out in terms of strength of concept, and innovative use of medium, technique and material to bring the ideas to life. They display artistic insight and originality, while capturing the unique zeitgeist of their respective countries as well as what is distinctive about contemporary art in Asia Pacific.
All 15 Finalists' works will be presented in a special exhibition at SAM from 11 November 2011, where the judges will select the Grand Prize winner and three Jurors' Choice Award winners.
Members of the public are invited to participate in the Prize by voting online or at the exhibition for their favourite Finalist's artwork to win the People's Choice Award.
