This talk brings together publication contributor Brigitta Isabella and exhibiting artists Elia Nurvista and Bagus Pandega for a discursive conversation and spotlight on the exhibition publication. Brigitta will talk through the extensive research that she has done, touching on topics such as materials as entities with agency, the broader shifts in Southeast Asian artistic practices towards ecological processes and landscapes under threat, and the moments where contemporary art, materiality and environmental activism intersect. Led by Brigitta, the conversation will also invite insights from the two artists about their own research. The talk will conclude with a Q&A and will be moderated by exhibition curator Syaheedah Iskandar.
