Learn more about various topics through fun and engaging assembly programmes conducted by SAM’s Education Specialists in your school. The programme references selected artworks from various SAM exhibitions and includes interactive segments where students have opportunities to win prizes.

Experience the wonders of contemporary art with your students, in the comfort of your own classroom! This programme provides an introduction of artworks previously exhibited at the Singapore Art Museum.

1) TOURS FOR EDUCATORS

Price: Free for educators with registration

 

Join SAM curators as they share the ideas and concepts behind artworks in this specially tailored preparatory tour for educators planning to bring students to visit an exhibition. Tours commence at the start of each new exhibition.

2) WORKSHOP FOR EDUCATORS

 

When: Weekdays
Duration: Varies per programme

 

Gain a deeper appreciation of artworks in an exhibition through workshops conducted by artists. Through these workshops, the finer details of their artistic processes will be unveiled, from their thoughts when making the artwork to the decisions using specific materials and mediums.

peer led guide training

When: Weekdays, subject to availability of SAM Education Specialists
Duration: 180 minutes
Price: $5 per student (waived if exhibition tours are conducted by trained student docents for peers or members of the public)

 

A short, intensive programme designed for Secondary and Post-secondary students, the Peer Led Guide Training programme aims to equip students with guiding and public speaking skills. At the end of the session, students will be equipped to bring their peers around the galleries in the museum.
