Curatorial & Research Residency || 01 Jan to 31 Jan 2026
Sofia Dourron’s work navigates the relationships between Latin American decolonial perspectives and posthumanist philosophies, the notion of decolonisation of the unconscious, ecological thinking and artistic practices and imaginations. Sofia is an independent curator and currently is also the co-director of pu chi pu li, an independent space in Buenos Aires which takes its name from the Chinese idiom translating to “not too familiar, not too distant”—reflecting the project’s desire to develop dialogues between artistic practices from various geographies brought together by the commonalities of global majorities.
While in residence, Sofia will engage with artistic practices in Singapore to expand her research on embodied tensions: between locality and globality; the ancestral and the modern; the human and non-human; and the industrial and organic.
