HOW DO WE KEEP MEMORIES ALIVE? FOR WHOSE SAKE DO OUR ECHOES REMAIN?
Lost & Found: How We Remember is an exhibition at SAM that explores themes of archiving and remembrance in artistic practices, while examining how personal and collective histories are gathered, shaped, and sometimes lost over time. As an extension of the exhibition, senisini will be hosting three FREE art clubs. These gatherings will take the community through different forms of artistic reflection and expression to uncover how stories are preserved and reimagined across our different contexts and lived experiences.

About senisini
Founded in August 2024, senisini (arthere in Malay) is a grassroots initiative aimed at making art accessible for all. The collective hosts free community art events, from art clubs to film clubs, bringing artists from different mediums and backgrounds together in the same space. The community serves to inspire artists by centralising knowledge, resources, and opportunities for people. Expanding on art accessibility, senisini’s art-volunteering arm kawanseni (artfriend in Malay), partners with social beneficiaries to nurture creative expression for underserved communities (e.g., children at risk) through art programmes tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries.

A continued exploration and reflection of objects we keep. This is the final session of seniSAM: Community Art Clubs in conjunction with Lost & Found: How We Remember.
Join senisini at SAM for a moderated community discussion exploring the objects we keep, leave behind, and all the stories they carry. Our 3rd edition of senicircle brings artists, creatives, and observers together to reflect on how objects remind us of who we are, who we’ve been, and what we mean to one another.
We invite you to bring an object and its story with you to this senicircle, no matter how silly or personal.
What do the things we keep say about us? By sharing the objects we’ve brought and the stories behind them, we build a safe space to examine how we archive our own lives. We will explore an artist's responsibility in preserving our stories and the narratives they imply, allowing us to ask whether they will carry the future we want.
Come ready to share, question, listen, understand, and connect!
