Imagine a Singapore bathed in the emerald glow of vertical gardens, with electric vehicles gliding through vibrant parks, and communities energised by renewable sources. This inspiring vision, captured by the Singapore Art Museum's (SAM) This Little Red Dot... initiative, unfolds within the verdant embrace of the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
As Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 165-year-old Gardens plays a key role in making our future safe and sustainable through its efforts in environmental stewardship, such as the planting and conservation of Singapore’s flora, species recovery programmes, habitat restoration and enhancement, and community engagement.
This Little Red Dot 2024 showcase invites you to explore "Sustainable Futures of Singapore." What kind of future do you dream of for our city-state? Is it a future where nature and technology are seamlessly integrated?
Discover 30 captivating artworks selected from a strong pool of submissions, displayed alongside commissioned works by artists Bhavani Bala, Kenneth Chin, Cindy Ong, and Moses Sia. Each artwork unveils a unique perspective on a sustainable Singapore.
Join the conversation and share your vision. Together, empowered by art, we can co-create a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.
