Ever wondered how an artist can use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create art? Join artist Kapilan Naidu and SAM curator Kenneth Tay in this talk as they walk you through the making of the artwork Synthetic Visions of a Future Past (Jurong Dreaming). Learn how the artist uses AI and machine learning to create generative art based on data collected from past and present residents of Jurong. The artwork is on show at Science Centre Singapore from 1 Jun–10 Sep 2023.

A Date with SAM is part of the programming for Art in the Commons: Data Visualising Jurong, SAM’s collaboration with Science Centre Singapore to develop community-based participatory art programmes within the Jurong district. The initiative is supported by Tote Board.
