Step into a darkroom and explore photography through experimental image-making using coffee-based development techniques.
Inspired by Hiroshi Sugimoto's photographs, this workshop invites you to slow down and pay close attention to the process of image-making and observe the relationship between light and time.
Each print records a unique interaction between light, chemistry and chance, creating one-of-a-kind photographic prints.
In this workshop, you will:
• Create photograms and chemigrams using light, objects and photographic paper
• Experience a slow, hands-on image development process using coffee
• Take home your own A6 photogram prints
This programme is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, Hiroshi Sugimoto: Form Is Emptiness.
