Build a simple pinhole camera and experience one of photography's earliest image-making techniques!
Inspired by Hiroshi Sugimoto's interest in capturing time through photography as a contemplative medium. This workshop focuses on the essential elements of photography—light, time and observation.
Learn how light travels through a tiny aperture to create an image before stepping into a darkroom to develop your own photographic print.
In this workshop, you will:
• Build your own pinhole camera
• Experience image-making as a slow and intentional act
• Take home 1 handmade pinhole camera and 1 A6 photographic print
This programme is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, Hiroshi Sugimoto: Form Is Emptiness.
