Executive, Marketing Communications

Full time position

The Executive (MCC) will report to the Assistant Manager (MCC - Communications) and will be responsible for supporting the Marketing Communications team for communications and production. The role will undertake support functions in content production and development, media and PR activities, and assist in knowledge management. The key responsibilities are as follows:

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Production and Content Development

 

  • Management of essential services and supporting processes that support the core business of Singapore Art Museum
  • Assist Marcomm Leads with content production for marketing campaigns, which primarily include videography and photography projects, involving the development of scripts, management of vendors and shoots, as well as the timely production of publicity assets
  • Perform copywriting for publicity materials, which may include press releases, factsheets, social media copies and EDMs
  • Support overall MCC efforts in content development and upkeep of SAM’s social and digital channels, as well as community management of SAM’s touchpoints
  • Manage all MCC-produced printed collateral, including but not limited to environmental branding, colour checks and vinyl stickering
  • Provide administrative support in knowledge management through the upkeep of MCC’s M Drive, Image Bank, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and other collaborative platforms
  • Stock take and spring clean all MCC-produced collaterals, merchandise and publications, implement a check in/out system to ensure tracking of all loaned materials

 

 Communications & Public Relations

  • Support AM (Communications) for media relations and PR matters, such as the development of media materials, compilation of media kits and images, submission of event listings, and management of media requests
  • With guidance from AM (Communications), oversee media monitoring workstream, assisting with the compilation of weekly and exhibition media coverage reports
  • Assist in the organisation of press conferences and other media events, including logistical and administrative matters such as registration, venue and F&B arrangements

 

 

 JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Public Relations and Communications (in house or agency), preferably for arts and heritage sector or equivalent
  • Degree in Communications, Arts or Humanities or a related qualification
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience in crafting media releases and speeches, overseeing vendors and organising media events
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, and the ability to exercise initiative during remote work arrangements
  • Familiarity with task management tools such as Asana and Trello would be advantageous
