Marisa SRIJUNPLEANG

Artist Residency || 01 Dec 2025 to 28 Feb 2026

Marisa Srijunpleang’s practice illuminates the lives of people living along blurred national borders. Specifically, she finds interest in the Thai-Cambodian border, where she was born and raised. As part of her process, she documents and accumulates stories and materials found during her explorations. Through various mediums such as photography, sculpture and videography, Marisa’s work addresses local beliefs, marginalised history, personal narratives, collective memories, the impact of war and the different concepts and perceptions of borders that shape these communities in various dimensions.

While in residence, Marisa will conduct research on plants to tease out their relationship with the city’s inhabitants, war and untold histories.
