Join museum educator Nur’ain Noor Bani, as she brings you on a journey through a beautiful array of lanterns. Discover how the artist Berny Tan collected memories from the public, identified patterns in them and transformed them into something completely new for her artwork, a shapeless mass; a network of times. Participants will also get to create and take home their own paper lanterns!

a shapeless mass; a network of times is showing at Science Centre Singapore from 16 Jun to 11 Sep 2022.

Patterns and Lanterns is part of the programming for Art in the Commons: Data Visualising Jurong, SAM’s collaboration with Science Centre Singapore to develop community-based participatory art programmes within the Jurong district. The initiative is supported by Tote Board Singapore.
