Research and contribute to scholarship on contemporary visual art and design, with a focus on interdisciplinary practices and discourses within local and global contexts.
Contribute to institutional goals and policies of collection building and access (including development of a digital platform) to enrich and extend knowledge on design in art.
Curate collaborative and cross-disciplinary projects and programmes, from conceptualisation, negotiations with artists, designers, external institutions and stakeholders, to the co-ordination of production.
Demonstrate thought leadership in the field through sharing of knowledge at conferences, talks and in publishing.
Foster professional networks with contemporary artists, design communities and partners.
Work closely and collaboratively with collections managers, conservators and colleagues in collection development and preservation
Manage, supervise and administer projects, processes and procedures under his/her responsibility.
Handle ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
Graduate or post-graduate degree in contemporary art, graphic design, media or related fields.
At least five years’ of relevant research and experience in curation, collections and exhibitions.
Strong interest in and specialized knowledge of contemporary art and design practices in Singapore and Asia.
Excellent research, writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English. Additional language abilities would be ideal.
Good project management and organisational skills.
Attentive to details and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
